What a game! Clearly our best performance of the season, and I don't think it's an accident that it coincides with us having close to a full squad for the first time this season. The performance from everyone was good. My eyebrows were raised when I saw the lineup with Gabriel Jesus starting instead of Havertz, but Jesus, in all honesty, contributed to the fluidity of the team's play, so credit to Arteta for that decision.
Saka was excellent as always, tormenting the defenders and providing a brilliant goal. Nwaneri made another impressive cameo; I firmly believe he has to be a significant contributor this season. That being said, the difference-maker for me has to be Odegaard. In our system, the way we play, his presence on the field is integral. If he is unavailable, we need to find someone who can temporarily fill his role and allow our team to maintain the same playing identity. Personally, I think the training wheels should be off for Nwaneri, and he should be the number 2 understudy to Odegaard, but I digress.
