Genuinely, I believe Arsenal have turned a corner, and it couldn’t have come at a more crucial time. After the excellent Champions League result in midweek, the team is quite honestly cooking! You need look no further than the spine of the team in the middle of the park, with Thomas Partey, Martin Ødegaard, and Declan Rice. I know there is a legitimate argument for Mikel Merino starting instead of Partey, but I am of the belief that if (and it’s a big if) Thomas Partey is fit and in form, he is among the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and should start. I think the proof is in his most recent performances. Now, over the weekend, we face a tricky West Ham team, who are coming off an impressive result in week 12 against Newcastle. This is an away game, but I am confident that, based on the way we are playing, we should be looking to collect three points.
